Tile Calculator

Work out how many tiles you need for a floor or wall. Enter the area and your tile size to get the tile count (with a waste allowance) and the number of boxes.

Tile calculator

Includes a waste allowance (10% is the usual rule for cuts and breakage). Set "tiles per box" to your product's count to also get the number of boxes.

How to use it

  1. Enter the area length and width in feet.
  2. Enter your tile size in inches and a waste % (10% is typical).
  3. Optionally enter tiles per box to get the number of boxes.

How it's calculated

We divide the area you're covering by the area of a single tile, add your waste percentage for cuts and breakage, and round up to whole tiles — then to whole boxes if you enter a tiles-per-box figure.
